The guard assembly for the Ryobi table saw is attached to the riving knife with a bolt that allows the guard to be raised and lowered as needed. The riving knife acts as a backstop to lay the wood against while running the stock through the saw blade. The entire guard assembly, including the riving knife, is attached with a couple of bolts to the table saw. You can save time and money by removing the guard yourself.
Instructions
- 1
Unplug the electrical cord of the Ryobi table saw from the power supply before removing the guard. Lift the guard up so it is at a 90-degree angle to the table saw top.
2Locate the nuts in the slot just behind the saw blade that are securing the riving knife and blade guard assembly to the table saw.
3Unfasten the two nuts with an open-end wrench and remove the guard assembly from the Ryobi table saw.
