White spots can occur on dark furniture because of exposure to heat, moisture or alcohol. These unsightly marks look serious, but are usually simple to remove, depending on the finish and the severity of the mark. If the spot has gone through the finish, or has black or charred areas, removing the marks is more difficult. Use products with a mild abrasive action to remove white spots, but always try any product first in an inconspicuous place to ensure that it won't damage the finish. Does this Spark an idea?
