A table saw consists of an exposed, rotating, circular blade. Only the top of the blade is exposed and fits through the hole in a table. The table provides support for objects to be cut on the table saw. Because of the rigidity of the circular blade and the support the table provides, table saws are especially useful for cutting large sheets of material down to size. The table saw is typically only used for straight cuts. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Remove the base and the hand guard from the circular saw. These are typically screwed on and can be removed with a power drill. You should now have a handheld and easily-maneuverable circular saw.
2Cut a thin slit through the top of the table equal to the width of the circular saw blade. This is done by turning on the circular saw and pressing it all the way through the top of the table.
3Press the blade of the circular saw through the bottom of the table, so approximately 1/4 of the height of the blade is exposed above the table.
4Bolt the circular saw in place using the power drill. You can do this by driving screws through the holes where the circular saw was mounted to its base and into the wood of the table.
