Using your laptop from your bed is beneficial if you simply want to relax, or you have to stay in bed due to health reasons. However, lying on your stomach while you use your laptop can cause neck and shoulder pain, as well as headaches. Moreover, if you suffer from lower back pain, lying on your stomach can aggravate it, but don't worry. If you choose to use your laptop from your bed, there are multiple options.
Instructions
- 1
Get an over-bed table. You will need a table with adjustable height and tilting capabilities. If possible, choose an ergonomic table, as the cushioned palm rest can keep the laptop from sliding off the table. This type of table generally comes equipped with rolling casters, which makes it easier if you need to change its position from your bed.
2Prop up your back with pillows so you're in a comfortable position.
3Roll the table to your bedside so that it comes over the bed.
4Position your laptop on the table. Tilt the table so you can use the keyboard comfortably from your position.
5Opt to use an adjustable breakfast and bed tray instead. Position the tray over your lap and place the laptop on the tray. Tilt the tray to a comfortable position.
